Preparing to Proclaim: An Introduction to Evangelism

Success is Defined by Activity

Evangelism success can be defined by the number of members who are actively using words to deliver messages and planting seeds of the gospel. They are utilizing outreach events to gain an audience to deliver a message of what Christ has already done.

When evangelism success is determined by activity and not results, then it takes the pressure completely off our shoulders. God is ultimately in control of results and we are in control of activity. Therefore, congregations can actively celebrate success whenever gospel seeds are planted.

A proper understanding of evangelism success helps process disappointment when results do not match our expectations. It allows a congregation to sustain activity rather than let despondency or hopelessness temper future activity.
