Preparing to Proclaim: An Introduction to Evangelism

Lesson 3: What do I say?

Evangelism is far more about trusting God’s promises than it is about us.

One of the most important promises for evangelism is to trust that God’s Word works.

“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.”

Romans 10:17

Evangelism is extending a message. It is an invitation to receive faith that comes from hearing the message.

In God’s wisdom, he uses his church and the gathering of his people to spread the message of salvation to others. That’s God’s strategy because he desires that all people be saved.

Carrying out the great commission becomes one of the greatest privileges for a Christian believer. It means exercising our faith and carrying out God’s purpose for those whom he has set apart from the world.
